With more and more workplaces choosing to adopt to the modern day concept of the ‘paperless office’, Wolverhampton based accountancy practice AGS has decided to follow suite and is preparing to go completely ‘paperless’ in order to provide an even better level of customer service.
As IT continues to rapidly progress, the practice of the paperless office is growing in accordance with more and more businesses choosing to record, convey and store information via computers and other electronic media rather than on paper.
There are a number of reasons why this popular trend is growing at such a fast rate, with a wide range of attached benefits including increased efficiency, productivity and workflow, as well as reduced paper and printing costs and time spent on filing paper and storage requirements.
Steve Aston, partner at AGS comments: "It is important for companies to keep on top of trends and technological advancements in order to ensure best practice. Consequently, although we already achieve a lot of our work via email and the Internet, we have decided to gradually go completely paperless over the upcoming months."
This will include the integration of all company documents onto a secure software system, filing online and the introduction of a secure online document exchange facility. Asides from the obvious financial and time benefits, the move will also help to significantly improve customer service as all client documents and files will be more easily accessible and manageable.
Steve continues: "We are really excited about going paperless and although only still in the early stages we are already beginning to see some of the benefits with work being achieved significantly faster. We believe that this move will not only provide us with a competitive advantage but further enable us in our goal to provide an outstanding service to clients."
